The city judge may impose any lawful fine or forfeiture for violation of any corporate law or ordinance, in compliance with provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated, § 6-54-308. In all cases heard or determined by him, he shall charge appropriate court costs. Costs in favor of any person paid a fixed salary by the city shall belong to the city and shall be paid into its treasury.
