Upon approval by the Cookeville Planning Commission, the planning department shall submit to the Council of the City of Cookeville a recommendation for the acceptance of a street for city maintenance. As a part of the recommendation the planing department shall specify the circumstances in which the street is presented. The official acceptance of a street for city maintenance shall be by ordinance action.
