15-702. Failure to obey citation.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to violate his or her written promise to appear in court after giving said promise to an officer upon the issuance of a traffic citation, unless he or she elects to forfeit the prescribed cash bond or deposit accepted by the city or unless the offense is otherwise dismissed by the court.
