15-115. Careless driving.
   Every person operating a motor vehicle, motorcycle, or motor driven cycle on any public road, highway, street, alley, or on any area open to the use of the public for purposes of vehicular traffic within the corporate limits of the City of Cookeville, shall drive such vehicle in a careful and prudent manner, having due regard for the width, grade, curves, corners, traffic, and use of these roadways and areas and all other attendant circumstances, so as not to endanger the life, limb, or property of any person.
   Failure to drive in such a manner shall constitute careless driving.
   Any person violating this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and fined accordingly.
