The wiring inspector, or anyone designated by the city manager shall have the right at any reasonable time to inspect any electrical wiring, installations, motors, electrical devices, or apparatus. If any such shall be found to be unsafe or likely to injure anyone or cause damage to property, the person making the inspection shall give written notice to that effect to the owner of said property or to the one using or in possession thereof, or to both. Such notice shall require that such unsafe or defective condition shall be corrected within thirty (30) days or, if conditions should warrant, a lesser period, depending upon the seriousness of the hazard. The inspector shall send a copy of said notice to the electric department. The person then in possession of the property and/or the owner thereof, shall, within the time specified, correct such dangerous or otherwise defective or unsafe conditions.
