12-109. Exceptions.
   The building official, at his discretion, may extend the period for the expiration of the original building permit beyond eighteen (18) months, provided the developer notifies the building official at the time the building permit is originally issued that a particular development, due to size, complexity, or other valid reason, will require a time period exceeding eighteen (18) months to complete.
