The schedule of permit fees set forth shall be used to determine a building permit fee:
Total Construction Cost Fee
$1,000 and less No fee unless inspections are required. If required, a fee of $15.00 per inspection will be charged.
$1,001 to $50,000 $15.00 for the first $1,000 plus $5.00 for each additional thousand, or fraction thereof, up to and including $50,000.
$50,001 to $100,000 $260.00 for the first
$50,000 plus $4.00 for each additional thousand, or fraction thereof, up to and including $100,000.
$100,001 to $500,000 $460.00 for the first
$100,000 plus $3.00 for each additional thousand, or fraction thereof, up to and including $500,000.
$500,001 and up $1,660.00 for the first
$500,000 plus $2.00 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.
For moving any building or structure, the fee shall be: $100.00
For the demolition of any building or structure, the fee shall be: $ 50.00
When the value of the proposed construction exceeds $1,000.00 and a plan is required to be submitted, a plan review fee shall be paid to the City of Cookeville at the time of submitting plans and specifications for review. Said plan review fee shall be equal to one-half (½) of the building permit fee as determined from the above schedule. Said plan review fee is in addition to the building permit fee. NO PLAN REVIEW FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE REVIEW OF PLANS FOR ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS.
