(A) No parking, West Main Street. No motor vehicle nor any vehicle or conveyance not operated by a motor shall be parked on the northern right-of-way of West Main Street (U.S. Highway 158) in any space on the northern right-of-way extending easterly from the intersection of Garriss Street with West Main Street (U.S. Highway 158) to the intersection of the western property line of Whitley Bros. Garage with the northern right-of-way of West Main Street (U.S. Highway 158). This no-parking zone shall be designated as a no-parking zone by appropriate signs. Anyone violating this division (A) shall be subject to a penalty of $5.

(B) No parking, East Main Street.
(1) No motor vehicle nor any vehicle or conveyance not operated by a motor shall be parked on the southern right-of-way East Main Street (U.S. Highway 158) in any space on the southern right-of-way extending 320 feet easterly from the intersection of Church Street (N.C. Highway 35) with U.S. Highway 158; neither shall any motor vehicle nor any vehicle or conveyance not operated by a motor be parked on the northern right-of-way East Main Street (U.S. Highway 158) in any space on the northern right-of-way extending 235 feet easterly from the intersection of Church Street (N.C. Highway 35) with U.S. 158. It being fully intended by this division (B) that there be no parking any time along both sides of East Main Street as designated herein. This no-parking zone shall be designated as a no parking zone by appropriate signs. Anyone violating this division (B) shall be subject to a penalty of $5.

(2) No motor vehicle, nor any vehicle or conveyance not operated by a motor, shall be parked on either the northern or southern rights-of-way of East Main Street (U.S. Highway 158) within five feet of the beginning of the straight line of the curbing leading from East Main Street to any entrance into a place of business or into any alley adjacent to East Main Street. This no-parking zone shall run from Hundley Circle to the north to Church Street (Highway 35) on the south. The five feet section of curbing which is in a straight line adjacent to the beginning of the curb into any entrance or alley which is hereby designated a no-parking zone shall be painted yellow or marked by appropriate signage. Anyone violating this division (C) shall be subject to a penalty of $5, and other remedies adopted by law.
