Wind powered generators (WPG), as defined herein, are permitted upon the issuance of a special exception permit within any district, provided the following standards, and any related conditions imposed by the board of adjustment, are satisfied. No wind powered generator, or modification thereto, shall be constructed within the city unless a permit has been issued by the city. (Ord. 400, 7-20-2009; amd. 2015 Code)
A. Fee: The permit application shall be accompanied with a nonrefundable fee in an amount set by resolution.
B. Application: The permit application shall contain a narrative describing the proposed project, the project location, the approximate generating capacity of the facility, a site plan, a photograph of the same type of wind powered generator being proposed which must be interconnected to a public utility under the provisions of Montana Code Annotated section 69-8-601 et seq.
