9-1-7: DUE REGARD FOR SAFETY:
The driver of every vehicle shall drive such vehicle in a careful manner and with due regard for the safety and convenience of pedestrians and all vehicles upon the street upon which such vehicle is driven or operated. (1975 Code § 9-1-15)
