6-3-3: EXCEPTIONS:
The provisions of section 6-3-1 of this chapter shall not apply in the following instances:
   A.   Accompanied Minor; Emergency; Legitimate Business: To a minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or when the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor;
   B.   Employment: To a minor while engaged in any gainful occupation or employment for his or her livelihood or part of his or her livelihood nor while going to and from such employment; and
   C.   Written Consent: To any minor who is living with his parents or one of them, or guardian, or with any foster parent or parents, who is absent from his home during the prohibited hours, if such minor shall carry with him upon his person the written permission of his parent, parents, guardian or foster parents, to be absent from his home for a stated purpose, except when the above is due to gainful employment as mentioned in subsection B of this section.
