§ 51.011 ANALYTICAL REQUIREMENTS.
All measurements, tests, and analyses of the characteristics of waters and wastes, including sampling techniques, submitted in support of any application, report or evidence or required by any permit or order, shall be determined by current methodology as prescribed in 40 CFR Part 136 - Guidelines For Establishing Test Procedures for the Analysis of Pollutants and amendments thereto, and shall be determined at the control manhole provided for in § 51.010. If 40 CFR Part 136 does not describe sampling or analytical techniques for the pollutant in question, sampling and analysis must be performed in accordance with procedures approved by the EPA. In the event that no special control manhole has been required, the control manhole shall be considered to be the nearest downstream manhole in the public sewer to the point at which the building sewer is connected.
