(A) The Police Department shall complete a criminal history background check. If the applicant has a warrant outstanding for any felony or misdemeanor offense or has been convicted of a felony offense within five years prior to the application, the license application shall be denied and the application fee refunded, except for the sum of $25 which shall be retained by the town as the fee for the criminal history background check.
(B) Upon successful completion of the criminal history background check, the town will issue the applicant a peddler/solicitor license.
