§ 154.207 CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
   (A)   Each application for an occupancy permit shall be accompanied by a plat in duplicate, drawn to scale, showing the name of the person making the application, the actual dimensions of the lot to be built upon as shown by a survey, the size, shape, the location of the building to be erected and such other information as may be necessary to provide for the enforcement of this chapter.
   (B)   A record of applications and plats shall be kept in the offices of the township.
      (1)   Subsequent to the effective date of this chapter no change in the use or occupancy of land, or any change of use or occupancy in an existing building other than for dwelling purposes, shall be made, nor shall any new building be occupied until a certificate of occupancy has been issued by the Zoning Officer.
      (2)   (a)   Every certificate of occupancy shall state that the new occupancy complies with all provisions of this chapter.
         (b)   It shall be a statement based on an inspection by the Zoning Officer setting forth either that a building, structure, sign and/or land complies with this zoning chapter or that a building, structure, sign and/or land may lawfully be employed for specified uses or both.
      (3)   (a)   No permit for excavation for or the erection or alteration of any building shall be issued before the application has been made and approved for a certificate of occupancy and compliance, and no building or premises shall be occupied until such certificate and permit is issued.
         (b)   A record of all certificates of occupancy shall be kept on file in the office of the Township Supervisors and copies shall be furnished on request to any interested person.
