§ 52.095 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   HEALTH OFFICER. The legally designated health authority of the township, or his or her authorized representative or other officer or agent who may, from time to time, be duly authorized by the Supervisors of the township.
   INDIVIDUAL SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM. A sewage disposal system, other than a public or community system, which receives either human excreta or liquid waste, or both, from one or more premises. Included within the scope of this definition are septic tank soil absorption systems, privies and chemical-type toilets, and such other types as may be prescribed in regulations by the Health Officer.
   PERMIT. A written permit issued by the Health Officer, permitting the construction of an individual sewage disposal system under this subchapter.
   PERSON. Any institution, public or private corporation, individual, partnership or other entity.
