§ 156.13  ROAD MAINTENANCE.
Access roads within the permitted site shall be maintained by the applicant so as to minimize the dust arising from the use of said roads. Such maintenance shall be accomplished through the application of chloride, water and/or similar dust retardant material. Application of oil shall be prohibited. A paved road from the entrance and exit, a reasonable distance from the right-of-way line into the area of operation may be required in order to minimize the deposit of dirt and gravel from trucks onto the public highway. Entrances and exits shall be securely locked during hours of in operation. Applicant shall pay a road impact fee of $6,500 per year, to cover the cost of wear and tear on the roads traveled. However, at the discretion of the Township Board, an exchange of road gravel in lieu of cash could be acceptable if the quality of gravel meets the County Road Commission specifications. Each year on or about December 31, the Township Board will determine whether to require cash payment or accept gravel in exchange, and will designate where the gravel is to be delivered.
