(A) The Town Manager shall be appointed for an indefinite term, but may be removed by a majority vote of the members of the Town Council.
(B) At least 30 days before the removal may become effective, the Manager shall be furnished with a formal statement in the form of a resolution passed by a majority vote of the members of the Council, stating the Council's intention to remove the person and the reasons therefor.
(C) The Manager may reply in writing to the resolution. If so requested by the Manager, the Council shall fix a time for a public hearing upon the question of removal and the final resolution removing the Manager shall not be adopted until the public hearing has been held.
(D) Upon passage of a resolution stating the Council's intention to remove the Manager, the Council may suspend the person from duty, but the person's pay and benefits shall continue as prescribed in the Manager's employment contract.
(E) The action of the Council in removing the Manager shall be final.
