The Town Council shall also appoint two alternate members to serve on the Board of Planning and Adjustment in the absence, for any cause, of the Board’s regular members. Alternate members shall be appointed for three-year terms. The alternate members, while attending any regular or special meeting of the Board and serving in the absence of any regular member, shall have and exercise all the powers and duties of the regular member so absent. Alternate members should attend all proceedings of the Board in order to gain experience.
