§ 153.10  AMENDMENTS.
   (A)   This chapter may be amended from time to time by the Town Council.
   (B)   The Planning Board shall make a recommendation to the Town Council on any amendment including a statement regarding the consistency of the proposed amendment with adopted town plans and policies. The Planning Board shall have 30 days from the time that the amendment is referred by the Subdivision Administrator in which to make the recommendation.
   (C)   The Town Council shall hold a public hearing on the amendment. Notice of the hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the town at least once a week for two successive calendar weeks before the hearing. The initial notice shall appear not more than 25 nor less than ten days before the hearing date. In computing the ten- to 25-day period, the date of publication is not to be counted, but the date of the hearing shall be counted.
   (D)   The Town Council shall include a statement regarding the consistency of the proposed amendment with adopted town plans and policies in its vote to approve or deny the proposed amendment.
