SECTION 20-407.   PERMITS REQUIRED.
No person shall plant, spray, fertilize, preserve, prune, remove, cut above ground or otherwise disturb any tree in any park or on any other publicly owned property without first obtaining a permit from the City Forester. No person shall remove a tree from publicly owned property for construction, or any other reason, without first obtaining a permit from the City Forester and without replacing said tree, meeting standards of size, species, and placement as prescribed by the City Code.
No person shall excavate any ditches, tunnels, trenches or lay any drive within a radius of ten feet from the drip line of any public tree without first obtaining a permit from the City Forester.
No persons shall deposit, place, store or maintain upon any public property any stone, brick, sand, concrete or other materials which may impede the free passage of water, air, or fertilizer to the roots of any tree growing thereon, without first obtaining a permit from the City Forester.
