In order to help the City meet its goal of reducing its production of solid waste which must be placed in a county solid waste landfill, every citizen, every household, every occupant or owner of any residential dwelling, and every owner or occupant of any commercial or industrial establishment is encouraged to recycle all of the recyclable materials which are currently being discarded as solid waste. The city has a program in place to provide every household with a standardized recycling container.
