SECTION 4-619A.   DANGEROUS DOG.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office or the Animal Control Officer shall have initial authority to determine whether a dog is a Dangerous Dog as defined in this Article and by Minn. Stat. § 347.50, as amended. Once the determination has been made, any prosecution of the matter shall be referred to the Anoka County Attorney pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 347.51, § 347.52, § 347.54 (1991), and § 347.541, as amended. As required by Minn. Stat. § 383E.25, the City is responsible for the registration of dangerous dogs pursuant to the procedures set forth in Minn. Stat. § 347.51.
