SECTION 7D-803.   PUBLIC ADVISORY ON FERTILIZER CONTENT.
Except for the first growing season for newly established turf areas, no person should apply liquid fertilizer which contains more than one-half percent by weight of phosphorus, or granular fertilizer which contains more than three percent by weight of phosphorus, unless the single application is less than or equal to one-tenth pound of phosphorus per one thousand square feet. Annual application amount should not exceed one half pound of phosphorus per one thousand square feet of lawn area. Property owners are further advised to have soils tested before applying fertilizers.
