SECTION 6-100.
   A.   SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS. No person shall operate any vehicle or combination of vehicles weighing over five (5) tons per axle on any road in the City of Columbus between the dates for seasonal weight restrictions as set by the commissioner of transportation, unless otherwise posted.
   B.   EMERGENCY WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS. No person shall operate any vehicle or combination of vehicles upon any road in the City of Columbus in excess of any posted weight restriction whenever a determination is made by the City's public works superintendent that such road, by reason of deterioration, rain, snow, or other climatic conditions, will be seriously damaged or destroyed unless the weights of vehicles traveling thereon are reduced.
   C.   COMMERCIAL VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS. No person shall operate any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight in excess of 26,000 pounds on the following roads in the City of Columbus:
      1.   Howard Lake Drive between Kettle River Boulevard and the easterly City Boundary
      2.   Zurich Street/Running Aces Boulevard/147th Avenue Northeast between Lake Drive Northeast (CSAH 23) and West Freeway Drive (CSAH 54)
      3.   Notre Dame Street NE from West Broadway Ave. (CSAH 18) to 181st Avenue NE.
      4.   181st Avenue NE from Notre Dame Street NE to Kettle River Blvd (CSAH 62).
Said restrictions shall not apply to municipal vehicles, public safety vehicles, garbage or recycling vehicles while on their collection routes, school buses, or deliveries or services to a residential or business address accessed from the posted road.
