2.46.020 Membership.
   A.   The Bartholomew Columbus emergency ambulance services board shall consist of five voting members. The fire chief of the city of Columbus and the sheriff of Bartholomew County shall serve as ex-officio members of such board.
   B.   The mayor and the common council of the city, shall each appoint one member to such board; the board of commissioners of Bartholomew County, Indiana, shall appoint two members to such board; and, the board of trustees of the Bartholomew County Hospital shall appoint one member to such board.
   C.   Upon establishment of the Bartholomew Columbus emergency ambulance services board, the member appointed by the mayor shall initially serve for a term of one year; the member appointed by the common council shall initially serve for a term of four years; the two members appointed by board of commissioners shall initially serve for terms of two and three years, respectfully; provided, however, that in all events each such initial term shall expire on the appropriate anniversary date established in subsection G of this section for the appointment of members to such board.
   D.   Upon establishment of the Bartholomew Columbus emergency ambulance services board, the member appointed by the board of trustees of the Bartholomew County Hospital shall be appointed for a term of four years; provided, however, that in all events such initial term shall expire on the appropriate anniversary date established in subsection G for the appointment of members to such board.
   E.   When an initial term of office expires, each new appointment shall be for a term of four years.
   F.   All initial appointments to the Bartholomew Columbus emergency ambulance services board shall be made at the first regular meeting of the government entity or the board of trustees making each such appointment on or after January 1st of each year.
   G.   All subsequent appointments to the Bartholomew Columbus emergency ambulance services board shall be made at the first regular meeting of the governmental entity or the board of trustees making each such appointment on or after January 1st of each year.
   H.   In the event that a successor has not been named to replace a member upon the expiration of such member's terms, such member shall continue to serve until a successor has been duly appointed and qualified. (Prior code § 3-12)
