2.36.050 Civilian dispatch employees and personnel policy.
   The department head shall be responsible for the hiring of all civilian dispatch employees serving the department. All said civilian dispatch employees of the department shall be governed by the personnel policy of the city, as adopted and amended, and all applicable internal rules and regulations of the department not inconsistent with the personnel policy of the city; provided, however, that given the special operating needs of the department, the department head shall have the authority to establish a work schedule which may have the effect of compensating the department personnel for their lunch periods. Policy 9.3 of the personnel policy for the civil city of Columbus, Indiana, is amended, for this department only, to allow operation in a more efficient manner. All other portions of the personnel policy for the civil city of Columbus, Indiana, not amended or modified herein shall remain in full force and effect. (Prior code § 2-75)
