15.16.030 Notice of intent to move--Wire removal or replacement cost.
The movers of any house or structure desiring to cross or go through any wires or lines shall give the local manager of the utility owner of said wires or lines in the city twenty-four hours written notice of his intention and desire to move such house, specifying the streets and routes along which he proposes and desires to move such house. It shall be the duty of the manager or agent in charge of such wires to raise or remove such wires with the least possible expense to anyone, so as to permit such structure to be so moved through or past such obstruction according to the specifications in such notice. The reasonable cost and expense of removal and replacement of such wires shall be paid by such house mover giving such notice.
Should the mover of any house fail to pay such expense on demand, he shall have no further right to again go through or require the removal of such wires until such bills are paid. (Prior code § 5-42)
