A. It is unlawful for any person to turn in a false alarm of fire or in any manner cause an alarm of fire to be turned in or given when no fire exists in the city.
B. Persons who violate this section shall be subject to a fine of five hundred dollars for the first offense, with the fines increasing by increments of five hundred dollars for each subsequent offense within one year of the first offenses, but not more than two thousand five hundred dollars.
