The commission shall meet at least once quarterly unless it votes to cancel the meeting. The commission's duties shall include but are not limited to:
A. Keeping an annual parking inventory, in conjunction with city staff, of all available public spaces including street parking, fee-based parking and garage parking and assessing annual usage. Inventory shall also include an estimate of private parking spaces.
B. Making recommendations on parking policy to the board of works and public safety on issues such as pricing, fines, hours of operation, addition or removal of parking spaces, use of parking kiosks or meters, changes to city's parking code, enforcement procedures, or any other aspect of parking management policy. The commission will not have jurisdiction over privately-owned parking lots or garages.
C. Working with the city engineer and city's ADA coordinator to improve compliance pertaining to the number, design, and location of accessible parking spaces.
