A. Pedal cabs shall operate on pre-determincd routes approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety, the Chief of Police, and Engineering Department.
B. The operation of pedal cabs upon any public street and at any time may be prohibited by the Chief of Police, or Engineering Department when such operation would be inconsistent with public safety requirements.
C. In the event that public streets along a pedal cab's route arc closed for special events, pedal cabs shall use alternate routes previously approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety, the Chief of Police, and Engineering Department.
D. The operator shall comply with all parking rules and regulations and refrain from parking or stopping at times or under circumstances that will unreasonably impede vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
E. A pedal cab shall not be operated on a sidewalk, or any of the city's people trails.
F. A pedal cab operator shall not solicit patronage in a loud tone of voice or in any manner so as to annoy or obstruct the movement of a person, nor shall an operator follow a person for the purpose of soliciting patronage.
G. Occupancy of a pedal cab shall not exceed the rated sealing capacity of the vehicle.
H. A pedal cab operator shall not allow a passenger to ride on any part of the pedal cab other than by sitting on the seats or platforms designed for such purpose.
I. Operators are prohibited from smoking while carrying passengers.
J. A pedal cab shall not be operated with an attached trailer, or be used to tow another vehicle of any type.
K. A pedal cab operator shall obey all applicable state and local traffic and parking laws, ordinances and regulations.
L. The operator shall comply with all alcoholic beverage regulations as required by law. (Ord. 29-2019, 2019)
