2.98.020 Membership.
   A.   The Board shall consist of five voting members.
   B.   The Mayor and the Common Council of the City of Columbus, Indiana, shall each appoint one member to such Board; the Board of Commissioners of Bartholomew County, Indiana and the County Council of Bartholomew County shall each appoint one member to such Board; and the Board of Trustees of the Columbus Regional Hospital shall appoint one member to such Board.
   C.   Upon establishment of the Board, the member appointed by the Mayor shall initially serve for a term of one year, the member appointed by the Common Council of the City of Columbus shall initially serve for a term of four years; the member appointed by Board of Commissioners shall initially serve a term of two years and member appointed by the County Council of Bartholomew County shall initially serve for a term of three years. Provided, however, that in all events each such initial term shall expire on the appropriate anniversary date established in division G. below for the appointment of members to such Board.
   D.   Upon establishment of the Board, the member appointed by the Board of Trustees of Columbus Regional Hospital shall be appointed for a term of four years. Provided, however, that in all events such initial term shall expire on the appropriate anniversary date established in division G. below for the appointment of members to such Board.
   E.   When an initial term of office expires each new appointment shall be for a term of four years.
   F.   All initial appointments to the Board shall be made within thirty days after the effective date of this chapter.
   G.   All subsequent appointments to the Board shall be made at the first regular meeting of the governmental entity or the Board of Trustees making each such, appointment on or after January 1 of each year.
    H.   In the event, that a successor has not been named to replace a member upon the expiration of such member’s term, such member shall continue to serve until a successor has been duly appointed and qualified. (Ord. 2018-4, 2018)
