A. The Columbus Police Department shall require a request for the copying of a law enforcement recording to provide certain information in writing on a prescribed form;
B. 2. The Columbus Police Department shall collect a fee for each copy produced of a law enforcement recording that shall not exceed the statutory limitations;
C. The fees collected for copying law enforcement recordings shall be deposited in the Law Enforcement Recording Fund #2945;
D. Funds from the Law Enforcement Recording Fund #2945 shall be used, without appropriation, for the following purposes:
1. To purchase cameras and other equipment for use in connection with the Columbus Police Department's recording program;
2. For training concerning law enforcement recording; and
3. To defray the expenses of storing, producing, and copying law enforcement recordings.
E. The Law Enforcement Recording Fund #2945 shall be a continuing, non-reverting, fund;
F. The requirements of this section are not required if a law enforcement recording is requested by another law enforcement agency or a prosecutor;
G. This section shall not be interpreted to dictate what requests for law enforcement recordings shall be copied.
H. The adoption of this section shall be in full force and effect beginning July 1, 2016, and after its passage and approval according to the laws of the State of Indiana.
