A. It is unlawful for any person to operate or engage in the business of an electrician or electrical contractor within the city without having first obtained a license to do so from the Bartholomew County board of electrician examiners.
B. No person shall operate or engage in the business of an electrician or electrical contractor within the city unless such person or his agent shall be duly licensed according to the provisions of this chapter and shall have the license only issued in the name of the person, firm or corporation or partnership only issue in the name of the person, firm or corporation or partnership so represented by him; except, that nothing in this chapter shall be construed as prohibiting industrial manufacturing concerns from installing and maintaining customary electrical installation incident to the operation of such concern without complying with the licensing provisions of this chapter.
C. A person requesting the issuance of a license in the name of a fire, corporation or partnership shall on such application list the names and addresses of all members of such firm or partnership or the name and location of the principal office of such corporation.
D. Any change in the location of the place of business and any change in the membership of any such firm or partnership shall be reported to the chief code enforcement officer within five days after such change occurs. The examination and all sections of this chapter relating thereto shall be binding upon all members of such firm, partnership or corporation. (Prior code § 6-11)
