Any dog or cat adopted from Animal Care Services will be spayed or neutered by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. An exception is only made if a licensed veterinarian certified that said animal is physically unable to undergo such an operation or the animal is to go to rescue group or shelter partner whose adoption processes also require spaying or neutering prior to adoption. In which case the dog or cat is to be spayed or neutered as soon as the veterinarian determines that the animal is old enough or healthy enough to alter.
