(a) Pursuant to the Village’s powers afforded by Ohio R.C. 723.01, no person in charge of any motor vehicle shall open the muffler on said vehicle within this Municipality, or otherwise engage any system or device which is an engine brake system, commonly referred to as “jake braking”.
(b) It is further directed that the Street Department shall cause NO JAKE BRAKES ALLOWED signs to be erected at all entrances to the Village.
(c) Violation of this section shall be a minor misdemeanor and shall be punishable by up to a one hundred fifty dollar ($150.00) fine.
