Customary home occupations may be permitted by Conditional Use Permit from the Board of Zoning Appeals. Customary Home Occupations shall consist of gainful activity occurring within a home, either full or part time, for the benefit of the residents of the dwelling. Permitted home occupations shall observe the following performance requirements:
(a) No person other than members of the family residing on the premises shall be engaged in such occupation.
(b) The use of the dwelling unit for the home occupation shall be clearly incidental and subordinate to its use for residential purposes by its occupants, and not more than 25 percent of the floor area of the dwelling unit shall be used in the conduct of the home occupation.
(c) There shall be no change in the outside appearance of the building other than a non- illuminated sign, two square feet or smaller, and flush-mounted against the building.
(d) The home occupation may increase parking and traffic flow by no more than one (1) vehicle at a time.
(e) All parking demand created by the conduct of the home occupation shall be met off the street, and other than in a front yard.
(f) No equipment, process, or storage associated with the home occupation shall create odors, noise, vibration, glare, electrical interference or other nuisance detectable to normal senses off the lot. In the case of electrical interference, no equipment or process shall create visual or audible interference in any radio or television receivers or other audio appliances used off the premises, or cause fluctuation in line voltage off the premises. No equipment, process, or storage associated with a home occupation shall create any fire or explosion hazard, or involve the storage or use of hazardous materials in any concentration greater than that which would normally be found in a dwelling containing no home occupation.
(g) The neighborhood shall not be adversely affected.
