945.09 BOATING AND CANOEING RULES.
   In addition to all other boating and canoeing rules provided by State law and Village ordinances, no person shall operate or place any boat or canoe on the water of the quarry without complying with the following regulations:
   (a)   Each boat, canoe or paddle boat must be stable and seaworthy.
   (b)   All boats, canoes and paddle boats shall be launched from boat docks only.
   (c)   No person shall operate or attempt to operate a boat, canoe or paddle boat that he or she is incapable of operating safely.
   (d)   No powered boat, canoe or motor boat of any kind shall be operated on the quarry.
   (e)   All life jackets and all flotation cushions shall be of a type approved by the United States Coast Guard. There shall be at least one flotation cushion or one life jacket for each person on each boat, canoe or paddle boat in use.
   (f)   No outside discharge of a toilet shall be permitted. No boat, canoe, or paddle boat with an unsealed outside or overboard discharge of a toilet shall be permitted on the water.
   (g)   Paddle boats shall have the right of way over all other boats or canoes.
   (h)   No person under the influence of alcohol or any drug shall operate or attempt to operate any boat, canoe or paddle boat.
   (i)   No alcoholic beverage of any kind shall be on any boat, canoe or paddle boat on the quarry, whether such beverage is in a sealed or open container, and regardless of the percentage of alcohol in the beverage.
   (j)   No boat, canoe or paddle boat shall be operated close enough to any persons fishing to disturb the persons fishing, provided that boats, canoes or paddle boats may move close to persons fishing near a boat loading dock.
   (k)   Each person on a paddle boat of any kind shall wear a life jacket.
   (l)   A copy of these rules shall be posted at each boat or canoe loading ramp, and a printed copy shall be given to each person obtaining a boating permit. Failure to obtain a printed copy of these rules shall not excuse any person for any violation of these rules.
