§ 7.504 PROHIBITED OPERATIONS.
   (A)   No person shall operate any snowmobile in the following unsafe or harassing ways:
      (1)   At a rate of speed greater than reasonable or proper under all surrounding circumstances.
      (2)   In a careless, reckless or negligent manner so as to endanger the person or property of another or to cause injury or damage thereto.
      (3)   While under the influence of alcoholic beverage or narcotics or habit forming drugs.
      (4)   Without a lighted head and tail light when required for safety.
      (5)   On any tree nursery or planting in a manner which damages or destroys growing stock.
   (B)   Notwithstanding the prohibitions of this section, the city shall have authority to authorize its officials or employees to supervise and regulate events and programs under which exceptions to this section may be made to include use on otherwise prohibited areas and use without certain otherwise required equipment for snowmobile racing, derbies and other competitive events; providing that no such exception shall be made in the event it conflicts with the provisions of M.S. §§ 84.82 through 84.872, as they may be amended from time to time.
