§ 6.202 HOUSING CODE ADOPTED.
   (A)   The Uniform Housing Code, most recent edition, as amended, International Conference of Building Officials, is hereby adopted by reference to regulate housing construction and maintenance standards within the city. Every provision contained in the Uniform Housing Code is hereby adopted and made a part of this code as if fully set forth herein, except as hereinafter provided. The short title of the Uniform Housing Code shall be the "Housing Code." Three copies of the Housing Code shall be on file and available for inspection at the office of the City Building Official.
   (B)   (1)   Section H-203 of the Housing Code is hereby deleted and the following words shall be substituted:
         In order to provide for final interpretation of the provisions of this code and to hear appeals provided for hereunder, a Housing Advisory and Appeals Board is hereby established. The Planning and Zoning Commission shall serve as and exercise all powers of the Housing Advisory and Appeal Board, as provided in the Housing Code. The Building Official shall also be an ex-officio member of the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board.
      (2)   The Board may adopt reasonable rules and regulations for conducting its business and shall render all decisions and findings in writing to the appellant with a copy to the Building Official. Appeals to the Board shall be processed in accordance with the provisions contained in Section H-1201 of the Housing Code. Copies of all rules or regulations adopted by the Board shall be delivered to the Building Official who shall make them freely accessible to the public.
   (C)   In Section 401 of the Housing Code, the definition of Building Code is amended to provide that the Building Code is the Minnesota State Building Code.
   (D)   In Section 401 of the Housing Code, the definition of Mechanical Code is amended to provided that the Mechanical Code is the Minnesota Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Code.
