§ 34.37  PURCHASES OF AT LEAST $25,000 BUT LESS THAN $75,000.
   (A)   Process.
      (1)   The purchasing agent shall invite quotes from at least three persons known to deal in the line or class of supplies to be purchased, which supplies have an estimated cost of at least $25,000 but less than $75,000.
      (2)   The invitation to quote shall be mailed to the persons described herein at least seven days before the time fixed for receiving quotes.
      (3)   If the purchasing agent receives a satisfactory quote, the purchasing agent shall award a contract to the lowest responsible and responsive offeror for each line of class of supplies required.
      (4)   The purchasing agent may reject all quotes.
   (B)   Special purchasing method.  If the purchasing agent does not receive a quote from a responsible and responsive offeror, the purchasing agent may purchase the supplies under I.C. 5-22-10-10, and as amended.
   (C)   All purchases with an estimated cost of at least $25,000 but less than $75,000 shall be approved by the governing body before any purchase may be made.  If an emergency exists and there is not sufficient time to call a meeting of the governing body, approval shall be made by the City Executive.
