(A) A closed loop geothermal system must be located so as to be easily accessed and must not be built over or placed under impervious materials.
(B) Piping for a closed loop geothermal system must be bedded so as to prevent freezing or undue compaction pressure.
(C) Piping used for a closed loop geothermal system must be constructed of polyethylene pipe, or its equivalent, having a pressure resistance of 160 psi and a SDR of seven.
(D) Any coolant or other chemical additive used in any closed loop geothermal system must be non-toxic (i.e., consumable by humans and easily degradable) such that it would not be injurious to the public health or health of the environment in the event of a spill, leak or other release.
(E) No vertical geothermal systems are permitted within the city.
(F) No open loop geothermal systems are permitted within the city.
