§ 73.41  DEFINITION.
   GOLF CARTS shall be defined by I.C. 9-13-2-69.7, and as updated by any subsequent code amendment/revision, and be equipped with factory seating for all occupants with a maximum occupancy of six people and with a maximum of two persons per seat. Unless the laws of the State of Indiana state otherwise, no one under the age of six shall be allowed to ride in a golf cart and no one under ten years of age shall be allowed on the backseat of the cart. The golf cart driver shall be solely responsible for his or her decision-making as to the safety of his or her passengers. All passengers must be seated while the golf cart is in use. Golf carts shall not be altered in any way to be in violation of state law or this subchapter or used to pull, push, tow, attach or drag any trailer, cart, seating apparatus, sidecar or any other accessory.
