The forms for sidewalks shall be of metal or wood, straight and free from warp, and of sufficient strength to resist springing during the process of depositing concrete against them. If of wood, they shall be of two-inch surfaced plank. If of metal, they shall be of approved section. The forms shall be of the full depth of the sidewalk and shall be securely staked, braced, and held firmly to the required line and grade. All forms shall be thoroughly cleaned and oiled before concrete is placed against them.
