§ 53.17 CONTRACT FOR COLLECTION.
   The Board of Public Works and Safety is authorized and directed to enter into a contract, pursuant to I.C. 36-9-30-5, to provide collection, disposal, and recycling provisions required or permitted under the provisions of this chapter, together with any other provisions the Board of Public Works and Safety deems necessary, useful or beneficial to effectuate the intent and purpose of this chapter. The Board of Public Works and Safety is authorized and directed to enter into a contract, pursuant I.C.36-9-30-5, to provide collection, disposal, and recycling provisions required or permitted under the provisions of this chapter, together with any other provisions the Board of Public Works and Safety deems necessary, useful or beneficial to effectuate the intent and purpose of this chapter. Any such contract shall be for such terms as determined to be in the best interest of the city and must provide for disposal in a sanitary landfill licensed by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
