The Executive Director, with the advice and consent of the City and County Plan Commissions, shall be responsible for the employment and direct supervision of the Assistant Director, the Building Commissioner, and such other staff as may be employed by the Department. As such, the Executive Director shall have the authority to advertise the position for which funds have been appropriated to the City and County Plan Commissions, to conduct interviews for the purpose of filling such positions, and for the hiring of the department employees. Further, the Executive Director shall have the authority to terminate employment within the Planning Department.
