Members of the Board shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for costs actually expended on board business, with the approval of the Clerk-Treasurer. Such reimbursement shall come out of the Board's funds, if any are available for the purpose, and if no such funds are available from the Board's funds, such expenses and costs shall be paid by the city out of available funds in the city budget.
