§ 32.032 MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTION FEE.
   (A)   A fee is hereby established in the amount of $5 per vehicle for the inspection by law enforcement officers of the Police Department for the inspection of certificates of title for motor vehicles and the certification of the correct VIN number as required by law.
   (B)   The officer shall issue a receipt for each fee collected to the person or firm paying the fee imposed hereby. Each fee collected shall be promptly remitted to the Clerk-Treasurer. The Clerk-Treasurer shall issue an official receipt for remittance specifying on such receipt the number of general receipts and the amount for each.
   (C)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall receipt the fees to a fund and said fund shall be deposited in a special fund hereby established pursuant to I.C. 5-2-8-2 and known as the Local Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund.
   (D)   Distribution of money in the Local Law Enforcement Fund shall be made to the Police Department without the necessity of first obtaining an appropriation from the fiscal body of the city. The Police Department shall provide to each law enforcement officer employed by the Police Department continuing education concerning those areas as set forth in I.C. 5-2-8-2.
