The Parks and Recreation Board shall be deemed the Park Authority for the purposes of I.C. 36-10-5. As the Park Authority, the Board shall manage all public parks, including approaches, that belong to the city. The Board shall have all other powers pertaining to the management, acquisition and disposal of park property as set forth in the Indiana Code pertaining to the Park Authority.
