When the animal control officer finds a violation to have occurred, the officer shall give written notice thereof to the owner. If the violation is not remedied within ten (10) days, the animal control officer may issue a citation to appear in Municipal Court to answer the charges. Any owner found violating any of the provisions of this article shall upon conviction be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed the sum of one hundred dollars ($100.00). Three (3) convictions within eighteen (18) months shall result in the revocation of the permit. (Ord. 97-168; Ord. 01-42)
