10.4.106: EMERGING FROM OR ENTERING ALLEY, DRIVEWAY OR BUILDING:
   A.   The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway or building shall stop the vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or into a sidewalk area extending across any alleyway or driveway, and shall yield the right of way to any pedestrian or vehicle as may be necessary to avoid collision, and prior to entering the street or highway shall yield the right of way to all vehicles approaching on the intersecting street or highway.
   B.   The driver of a vehicle about to enter or cross a street or highway from a private road or driveway, when not required by subsection A of this section to stop, shall yield the right of way to any pedestrian or vehicle as may be necessary to avoid collision, and shall yield the right of way to all vehicles approaching on the intersecting street or highway.
   C.   The driver of a vehicle entering an alley or driveway shall yield the right of way to any pedestrian within or about to enter the sidewalk area extending across an alley or driveway. (1968 Code §6-4-6; Ord. 75-86; Ord. 01-42)
